The Institutions and World War Two

This online exhibition is based on material found within the archive collections of the three Institutions; the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

The archives contain material both created by the Institutions and their predecessors and also by engineering firms and individual engineers who were Members of the Institutions.

Here we introduce the institutions as they were in the 1930s and 1940s.
