council minutes

The Council Minutes exist from the very foundation of the Institution and record decision making throughout the Second World War. They are a rich source of information about the Institution and its Members. The Council Minutes can be accessed online free of charge here: https://archives.imeche.org/archive/institution-history/council-minutes?

membership records

Membership records commence in 1847 and are available online through Ancestry.com up until 1938. Access can also be gained by contacting us.

IMechE Members may search the records free of charge here.

Non-members may search the records here. (Ancestry Membership required)

Proceedings

Since their earliest meetings, Members of the IMechE have presented papers with the intent of sharing knowledge and inviting debate.

Many of those papers shared and published during the Second World War and afterwards expand on the themes of this exhibition and a number of relevant papers are available free of charge below.

Access to the IMechE Proceedings is available via SAGE.
